Welcome to King Street, Team Rubber!

Jess Gurr - May 29th, 2009

The beginning of May saw the move from Team Rubber’s old Bristol offices to the new ones. It was both an exciting and rather sad time. We lost lots of our favourite lunchtime haunts (Magic Roll, Boulangerie, Borders, Wagamama’s, Brandon Hill Park, amongst others) but gained lots of new ones (we’re right next to Queen Square and nearer to St Nicks Market etc) – mind you, it’s all just up the hill!

The upside was we gained lots of space, and the new office is much more airy and light. It’s so much nicer to be able to move around and feel like you can spread your work out! Makes for a much more productive office.

I thought I’d show you some photopictures from our moving day:

Here is Jenny being a box monster.

It took a while to get everything/everyone organised, so we had to wait around a while…

And then it was time to box everything up and put all our belongings away

We’re all settled into the new office now and are just making little improvements here and there to get it just how we want it.

We also have an office dog! His name is Ralph and he is brilliant/lovely/very friendly.

Meet Ralph

I’m sure there’ll be many more tales of our epic adventures soon, so keep your eyes peeled and ears to the ground.

Bye for now ^_^

Safes on a crane

Ben Witnall - May 7th, 2009

More exciting even than a Samuel-L.-Jackson-starring, internet-co-authored horror-thriller flick is surely the Team Rubber Bristol office move.  Today’s dramatic development was that people came and took away some of our safes (don’t go getting heisty on us, they’re for looking after public consultation stuffs) using a crane, hence ’safes on a crane’.  Geddit?  ‘Safes’… ‘on a crane’?  Come on, that’s good.  Anyway.  Here is a picture:

Notice Andy’s ‘truck’ in the background, which is approximately the size of a safe, though almost certainly not as hard to break into (it doesn’t have any doors).

Sky News Cameras Hit Rubber Republic’s London Office

Adam Abu-Nab - May 1st, 2009

dsc 0181c Sky News Cameras Hit Rubber Republics London Office

Barely freshly shaven from his appearance on the BBC Today programme, Matt was kindly invited to talk a few things viral in front of Sky News cameras yesterday. It was through fortune in our safe office surroundings that he was spared the tomfoolery of background dancers (see video – poor Saatchi & Saatchi!).

This was all in aid of T-Mobile’s latest 7000 person “Hey Jude” singing flash mob in Trafalgar Square (with token popstar Pink plunked in the middle). Through press attention and popstar power alone it’s being talked about to buggery, yet you can’t beat the authenticity of the original which made us all smile and share somewhat.
