“Bristol is obviously the place to head to enliven your spirits”

Kirk Hullis - July 7th, 2008

Sorry to keep on this one, but backing up our post about the South-West being a great place to live, some new (ish) research has just cropped up. Apologies for linking to the article on the Telegraph saying that Bristol is UKs happiest city but it’s the one with the best quote in it!

“Bristol is obviously the place to head to enliven your spirits,” said a Mr Kipling spokesman. [we all know that it was actually Mr Kipling himself who said this]

“It’s home to a lively city centre and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. It is also close to the beach”

This guy had clearly done his research into what makes us happy- city Centre, countryside and beach. These 3 aren’t on my list of reasons I love living here. A bit more digging has uncovered a project to work out just what makes Bristol the place it is- you can read more on the Epigram site, the Bristol Student Newspaper
